Each year we pride ourselves on showcasing the capital’s most dominant and rising talents across the August Bank Holiday Weekend and the summer of 2019 will be no exception. From the all-domineering Chase & Status presenting their prolific RTRN II JUNGLE campaign to the king of Drum & Bass Andy C to the dance music gods Basement Jaxx, we have hand-picked only the best in the game to come entertain you on Clapham Common this summer. Oh and let's not forget to mention a brand new addition to our festival, the man that is Idris Elba!

A man who is taking the scene by storm, Idris Elba, will be returning to Clapham Common for the second year running. Last year saw him blow the Heldeep stage to bits when a bag full of tunes and you can expect more of the same come this summer. You can find the man like Idris either walking on the red carpet, on award winning productions or performing with world-renowned brands like Elrow. Expect the party to arrive when one of the most charismatic figures around steps up to blow the crowds away.
Chase & Status, the UK’s leading drum & bass group who have been dominating the scene for over a decade with four studio albums and a widespread arsenal of high-octane hits, will be joining us again in their hometown but this year they return to their roots for a special London festival stage takeover. They will present their brand new ‘RTRN II JUNGLE’ album in a special performance along with a hand-picked line-up joining them inside the 10,000-capacity indoor main-stage, all off the back of an unforgettable live set closing the main-stage last year. Welcome back capital favourites Chase & Status.
Two of the UK’s leading lyricists and live performers join us this year. Both Tinie Tempah and Plan B have been instrumental in their scene for over a decade and they join us across the weekend at South West Four as our afternoon headliners. Tinie will be handling business on Day One as he returns for the first time since 2017 whilst Plan B takes to the main-stage on Day Two for his long-awaited SW4 debut.
Prepare for high-octane action and an onslaught of the best in bass as both Andy C and Wilkinson return to SW4 to provide two unforgettable performances for our 16th edition. Andy C, fresh from a record-breaking sold-out show inside The SSE Arena Wembley, will take to the mainstage on Day Two along with Wilkinson who is gearing up for a world exclusive live performance of ‘All For You’.
Basement Jaxx, the London born house music duo that have been at the forefront of the scene since the 90’s, return to Clapham Common for another special SW4 DJ Set after numerous flawless performances including a special guest slot inside the Amnesia presents Together stage last year. Joining them on Day One will be SW4 favourite Example for his incredible fifth set on the Common, and one that always is a stand-out performance in front of his hometown crowd.
Shy FX has been showcasing his ‘Cult.ure’ brand in London across the last few years, with intimate parties and world-class special guests joining him representing his scene and sound in quite an extraordinary way. Get ready, as Shy is set to bring something very special to SW4 this year in ‘Cult.ure’s Festival debut. Also joining SW4 will be Sigma, London’s very own bass duo who have over the last decade became a household name in both the UK and on a global scale, with sold-out shows at the likes of the Royal Albert Hall, countless UK top 10 hits and a BRIT award. Shy FX and Sigma are back in town!
Two of the finest grime MC’s around join us on Day Two inside the Capital Xtra stage. Wiley, named the godfather of grime who has also recently received an MBE, will take to the Common for the first time for a special headline slot and one sure to be a highlight of the weekend. Wretch 32 joined us back in 2011, and since then has released 6 UK top 10’s, sold-out shows across the capital and now returns to SW4 8 years later to perform in front of his home crowd…
Disciples have become a firm SW4 favourite over the last few years, with faultless DJ Sets and a debut live performance last year on our main-stage. With an arsenal of hits under their belt, their headline set inside the Ministry of Sound stage is set to be incredible and now Idris joins them on the bill. He went B2B with Low Steppa last year, now Idris, one of the hottest house DJs and most famous names on the planet right now, joins Ministry of Sound as a very special guest on Day One.
The last three years for both these London based artists have been nothing short of phenomenal, as they have between them released 10 UK top 20 hits, including a stunning collab with ‘Ring Ring’ last year. Both will be joining Craig David inside the world debut TS5 stage, hand-picked by him to perform and showcase his own brand which is an honour in itself. We cannot wait for these two to hit the Common this year!
